Every Little Bit Really Does Help: Thank You Tesco Rushes
30th Jul 2025
We’re incredibly grateful to Sue, the Community Champion at Tesco Rushes in Loughborough, for choosing to support our charity with a recent in-store fundraiser.
Through a combination of staff sales and donations via their charity bookshelf, Sue raised an amazing £200, which we decided to split between Equality Action and Loughborough Mela, with each cause receiving £100. On the 21st July, we had the pleasure of meeting Sue and her manager, Mo, in person for the handover of the funds. It was a lovely moment that reminded us how small, consistent acts of generosity can make a big difference, especially for small charities like ours that work hard to meet community needs day in, day out.
The donation to Equality Action will go towards the renovation of our staff and client washroom. This small but much-needed improvement will benefit both the people we support and our hardworking team. For a charity like ours, these moments of support mean a great deal.
So thank you, Sue, Mo and the team at Tesco Rushes. You’ve shown that giving back can be simple, creative and rooted in everyday activity.
If you’re a local business or individual who’d like to help in some way through fundraising, practical help, or simply by making a connection, we’d love to hear from you. These acts of support are what keep grassroots organisations like ours rooted in the heart of the community.
